Overview
This class activity is based on joining and engagement with a brand community.
1. Quickly Research Good Examples of Online Brand Communities: See links below.
2.Please find a BRAND or Owners group that you can join that you are not a member of. Describe how you found it in more detail, and the structure of the online community (Events? Blogs? Specific Ads? what communication tools do they have to interact?). You will need to join the group and ENGAGE in discussion, posting, activity etc. You cannot do this last minute, as you need time for the community to respond if possible.
THIS CANNOT BE A FACEBOOK or REDDIT, LINKED IN, etc (any 3rd party social media.). It must originate from the BRAND and company itself.
THIS WILL BE A LONGER DISCUSSION THAN USUAL and WORTH 3 Points: Answer the following:
1. What is the name and the URL of the community you joined, how did you find it? the community must have a way to join and post your personal questions and feedback. I do not expect you to spend money to join---find a brand community that is no cost.
2 Be specific on what the group does, different ways to engage, and what YOU did to engage. (post a thread, etc.) Did you hear back? What was the response.
3. Also, the community cannot be a POLITICAL/POLITICAL ACTIVISM group (Political Party, Causes, etc). It cannot be about a superstar personality, location, or music personality. It should be about a tangible consumer brand that you use or can start using---and a "every person" kind of community.
4. It cannot be a brand community that you are already a member of. It must be new today
