Part 1: Your Brand
Your personal brand is how you define the unique value that you bring to your career. Consider yourself and your own brand, then describe your personal brand and answer the following questions. Read this article by Indeed.com for more ideas on personal branding: https://www.indeed.com/career-advice/career-development/how-to-brand-yourself
- Identify three attributes to describe your personal brand. How do you represent yourself to the world?
- How do you differentiate yourself from others in your industry or on the same career path?
- How are you currently promoting your professional brand? Are you on LinkedIn, have a personal website, attend professional engagements, or professional portfolio?
- What could you do to help improve and/or promote your personal brand identity? (Change social media posts, join professional organizations, or create a LinkedIn profile)
- Explain in paragraph format using examples.
Part 2: Privacy Concerns
There are multiple forms of privacy concerns, including social privacy and institutional privacy. Social privacy refers to concerns about disclosing personal information to others. Institutional privacy refers to the use of your data by service providers and third parties. Apply Magic Sauce reveals how you might be perceived by others online and provides insights into your personality, intelligence, leadership, and life satisfaction. Most big tech companies would rather not reveal what is predictable (or profitable) about you.

NOTE: You do not need to include all three social sites (Facebook, X, LinkedIn) but you do need to include at least one. LinkedIn will send an email with the limited information you can use within 30 minutes. Limit the time of information (to just 6 months to a year) you are downloading from Facebook. Be sure Facebook information is downloaded in JSON format, not HTML. If you do not limit the time, the download file could take up to 24 hours to receive the file.

- Were the predictions and information correct and does it match your personal brand description from Part 1?
- Will this change your future use or type of use on social media sites?
- What are your thoughts on privacy concerns for social media users and should social media be free?
