You do not have to add anything about an interview or speaking to the managers, instead, base it on observations.
Pick a store, mall, shopping center, dealership, farmer market, supermarket, bookstore, entertainment venue, theater, park, hotel, or any outlet of your choice.
Note: You will need to take pictures and notes for this assignment
When possible, during this week, visit your choice of location.
- Take notes and pictures (if allowed). Take notes on any sensory stimuli being used (colors, lights, sounds, music, samples, textures, trials, scents, etc.)... on how the items, products, services, etc. are being displayed, presented, promoted, organized, stored, etc... on how consumers behave, wonder about, interact, inquire, touch, use, purchase, compare, etc... (warning: do NOT take pictures of people!).... and if possible, interview the managers or owners of the location, inquiring about any strategic form of promotion they do to ATTRACT and ENGAGE customers. Was anything special done for a particular day or event, such as the Superbowl (oh wait, Big Game, haha).
