Assignment Instructions

1. Watch the Video:

2. Write Your Analysis:
   Your research essay should include the following sections:
   • Introduction:

   • Video Evaluation:

     Use two external, credible sources (e.g., academic articles, reputable websites, or books) and one textbook to support your discussion of empathy in leadership. Address the following:
     • Why is empathy an essential skill for leaders?
     • How does empathetic communication impact workplace dynamics, employee morale, and productivity?
     • How does it impact perspective?
     • Use at least 2 legitimate sources and the textbook - Follow MLA
     • Use citations as needed to validate your information based on the sources found
   • Reflection:
     Reflect on how the ideas from the video and your research apply to real-world scenarios. Share personal insights or observations about leadership and empathy in your own life or experiences.
3. Formatting:
   • Follow MLA formatting guidelines for your paper, including citations and a Works Cited page.
   • The essay should be 1000 - 1200 words.

Grading Criteria

1. Analysis (30 points)
   • Depth and accuracy of article summary.
   • Use of specific examples to support analysis.
2. Reflection (30 points)
   • Thoughtfulness and relevance of personal experiences shared.
   • Connections made between personal experiences and article content.
3. Writing Quality (10 points)
   • Clarity, organization, and professionalism of writing.
   • Free from grammatical and spelling errors.
4. Citations (10 points)
   • Uses at least 2 legitimate sources and the textbook.
   • Uses as many citations as needed to validate information from the sources cited above.
   • Uses at 1 citation from the textbook.
   • Follows MLA formatting
