Wanderlust Adventures is preparing for a full website redesign. You are tasked with planning for the new website using your knowledge of website design, user-experience, and SEO best practices. Based on the materials from this week, the work you've already done researching your users and the brand, produce the following deliverables to kick-start the planning process for this web project.
Website Architecture Map
First, map out a website architecture of the pages you feel are important to include on the new website using the best practices outlined in the course materials this week. This map should include the names of all the pages you plan to create on the website, and the navigation/user flow from page to page.
Title Tags and Meta Descriptions
Include the title tags and meta descriptions for each page you plan to build for SEO purposes. Make sure you use SEO best practices, including appropriate keywords and character lengths when creating your tags and descriptions.
Homepage Wireframe
Create a rough wireframe of the new website's homepage to illustrate your vision for the new website's layout, tools, structure, etc. Be sure to use wireframing best and implement some of the tips you learned from this week's readings. You can use a tool like Canva to build out this wireframe; however, you can also sketch it using pencil and paper. Remember, a wireframe is a rough blueprint to help you iteratively build your website, so sketching is fine for this level of mockup.
User-Testing Plan
Finally, provide a brief plan for user-testing the website as it comes to fruition. Explain how user-testing will be conducted, who will be included in the tests, and what information you hope to obtain from them.
Submission Details
- Make sure you complete each part of the assignment this week. This will include written and visual components.
- You may submit multiple files, or you can add everything to one document for a simpler submission. Alternatively, you may upload separate files into a Google Drive or Dropbox folder and share a link. Just make sure the link is viewable before submitting it.
