Chapter 11 - Assignment (Digital Marketing Plan)

Provide a thoughtful 250+ word response to all of the questions below (250 words total, not for each section). Please separate your answers by the parts of the question. It makes it easier to see your specific response to each part.

This is a POST FIRST discussion board. That means you can see responses by your classmates ONLY after you post your response. Your first post counts so if it's blank that's what you are graded on. You cannot go back and edit your posts after you submit them.

DIGITAL MARKETING PLAN

Chapter 11 does a great job of setting the base for a good online strategy. That often starts with having a strategic plan for your own website. You will serve as a consultant to one of the websites below and evaluate their strategic digital plan.

  1. What is the primary purpose of the website (not the primary purpose of the overall company)?
  2. What value does this website (again, not the overall company) provide to customers?
  3. Do they have consumer generated content (reviews, testimonials or success stories)? If not should they have them? If so, are they appropriate?
  4. What do they want people to do when they visit the website? In other words, what is the primary call to action? Is there a secondary or tertiary call to action?
  5. Why would the site visitor complete the call to action? Are there incentives?
  6. Looking at Table 11.4 in your textbook, what other digital toolbox elements should they be using and why? Note, they may be using these tools already.

Use one of the following websites (please be sure to indicate which website you are using).
