Overview
Overview
The global marketing plan assignment is an applied global marketing project. It is an opportunity to apply global marketing principles in a managerial context. The assignment consists of two parts: (1) a brief written plan, and (2) a PPT presentation with your voice-over. The purpose of both is to introduce your plan to some managers of a company in Brunei.
The Product You are consulting for a company from Brunei that wants to introduce a handmade product (silverwork) into the USA. The handmade product is silverwork.
Global Marketing Written Plan Your global marketing plan is a brief written overview of the marketing strategy you are recommending to the company from Brunei. The template you are to use for your plan is provided (attached). The template for your plan has two facets, explanations of (A) what your recommendations are; and, (B) why your recommendations are reasonable (i.e., your justification). Type your recommendations and explanations in the appropriate boxes. Note: Each explanation should be able to stand alone (i.e., the explanation provided in one box should make sense without the manager needing to read info from another box).
Global Marketing PPT Presentation The audience for your global marketing plan is managers of a company in Brunei. Your presentation is to convince these managers that your global marketing plan is well thought out and should receive approval from the company.
Your PPT presentation must use a Pecha Kucha format. A template set up in that format you can use for your PPT presentation is provided (attached). Presentations using a Pecha Kucha format consist of 20 PPT slides that each automatically advance after exactly 20 seconds. Your talk accompanies the slides. Because such presentations have a limited number of slides and they automatically advance, the slides rely heavily on visual images to convey content. Text on the slides is kept to a bare minimum, with images and large graphics helping to guide the presentation in a story-like manner.
Pecha Kucha presentations for this course have four specific requirements: (1) they have exactly 20 PPT slides, (2) each PPT slide automatically advances after exactly 20 seconds, (3) no slide has more than 10 words on it, and (4) the main points you cover on each PPT slide should be included in the Notes area below each slide.
The voice with your presentation over should be yours. It would be good for you to keep your voice-over for each slide to slightly less than 20 seconds so no talking is lost when the slide automatically advances.
Grading Rubrics Grading rubrics have been provided for both the written plan and the PPT presentation. Before submission, review these rubrics to verify your efforts have been properly completed.
Submission Your written plan and your PPT presentation with voiceover will both be submitted in Canvas.
