We have reached the halfway point of the semester, making it a great opportunity to reflect on our learning and real-world experiences. The purpose of this assignment is to allow you to reflect on what you have learned so far, pondering critical marketing concepts and their practical application.
Please choose a brand you like that has not previously been discussed in our class. Your reflection paper should include the following three components:
1] Analyze the following strategic questions about your selected brand and provide a summary.
- Who is the core target of this brand? Why do they care about the value the brand offers? What are the unique characteristics of these consumers?
- What unique value does this brand deliver to this target group? What is the competitive battlefield it chooses to focus on? Why is the brand better than its competitors? How is it positioned in the marketplace, including its differentiating benefits and reasons to believe?
2] Provide a recommendation on how to sustain or improve this brand’s competitiveness, and include your supporting reasons.
3] Write a paragraph (minimum 500 words) reflecting on your personal learning journey and career interest, covering the following questions:
- What’s your confidence level in developing an integrated marketing plan independently? Explain in detail.
- What part of our discussion on marketing theory interests you the most? What would you like to learn more about?
- How would you rate your contribution to the Collaborative Learning Group? What are two areas of growth and two areas of glow? Is there anything you could do more of or less of to enhance your group's performance?
- How would you rate your experience with your group mentor? What are two areas you want your mentor to do more and two areas to do less?
Your reflection paper should be approximately 1000~1200 words in length; use first-person language and submit in a Word document.
