Overview
You will be responsible for reading and prepared to discuss in class the remaining 4 cases. You will be turning in a one-to-two-page summary of your ideas as proof of your preparation.
You can also incorporate answering some of these questions into the summary
1. Why has STRIVR succeeded so far in sports and what has contributed most to their success? What are their strengths and weaknesses? 2. The STRIVR management team is interested in opportunities for growth outside of sports, branding, and entertainment. Will STRIVR's advantage and positioning translate over to the corporate training industry? Why or why not? 3. Given your answer to Q. 2, propose an idea for a marketing campaign for Strivr in the corporate training market. Include items such as who you would target, what would the message be, what positive attributes and benefits would you communicate, and where you would communicate this message. Be specific about your ideas. 4. VR hardware sales have been slow to catch on with the consumer. When asked about this the CEO of Strivr responded he wasn’t as concerned because they were not a consumer-facing company. He continued “We would love to see them grow...we are not dependent on headset adoption...and are protected and can continue to build the best possible product.” (Case B pg. 2) a. Discuss the impact you think the consumer market for VR headsets is having or will have on Strivr’s adoption rate. b. Evaluate the CEO’s assessment of the consumer VR market and its effect on the company. Do you agree or disagree? Explain. 5. What are your recommendations for STRIVR going forward? What should they do with their sports business? How can they continue to grow their business?
