Based on research into the 8Ps of marketing, create a visually engaging 12–19 slide PowerPoint presentation

Overview

A marketing plan is crucial for businesses because it provides a structured roadmap for achieving marketing goals, aligning efforts, and measuring success. It helps focus resources, connect with the right customers, and ensure marketing investments are used effectively. A well-defined plan also allows for clear communication of strategy and results to teams and clients.

Your assessment, Marketing Plan, will bring your brand strategy to life in a presentation—it will showcase your plan to achieve the marketing objectives you established by leveraging the insights gained in prior assessments. This is about acting on the brand definition and engagement.

Your marketing plan will summarize the product, brand, and audience, adding and building as necessary to be thorough and address any faculty feedback. You will then create a SOSTAC plan, presenting your marketing situational analysis, objectives, strategy, tactics, actions, and controls.

Note: The course assessments build upon one another and must be completed in sequence.

Based on your research into the 8Ps of marketing, create a visually engaging PowerPoint presentation of 12–19 slides with audio that clearly and persuasively communicates your marketing plan. The presentation should provide an overview of your brand, your detailed strategies and tactics, and show why these choices were made by incorporating evidence and talking through important decisions.

The presentation should cover the following key areas:

Your first four slides should introduce your presentation and remind your audience about the product, brand, and situation:

  • Title Slide (1 slide):
    • Provide a title slide with basic information such as your name, date, company name, product name, and “marketing strategy.”
  • Introduction (1 slide):
    • Briefly introduce your marketing plan and tell the reader what will be included.
  • Business context (1 slide):
    • Summarize and update, as needed from prior assessments, the overview of your new product including its features and benefits, reasons for bringing this to market, and corporate objectives.
  • Situation analysis (1 slide):
    • Summarize and update, as needed from prior assessments, the overview of how this new product complements the existing product portfolio or product line in your organization, who the target market is, and who the competitors are.

In 6–12 slides, build on your prior coursework to further develop your marketing plan using the SOSTAC model:

  • SOSTAC Plan: Situational Analysis:
    • Develop a SOSTAC plan.
    • Create a SWOT four-square diagram for the brand.
      • What is the current situation? Consider your competition and what they are doing in terms of Web and social media presence.
  • SOSTAC Plan: Objectives:
    • As defined in the second assessment, create specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) marketing objectives that align with the overall brand strategy.
      • List at least three SMART objectives.
      • How can you build on these objectives and describe them in your presentation? Examples include increasing brand awareness by a certain percentage, acquiring a specific number of new customers, or improving customer retention rates.
  • SOSTAC Plan: Strategy:
    • Analyze the specific marketing activities needed to achieve the brand objectives.
      • What is your overall marketing strategy to support the achievement of the objectives? What is your product positioning statement?
    • Provide evidence to support the efficacy of the chosen marketing strategies.
  • SOSTAC Plan: Marketing Tactics:
    • Building on the marketing strategies that you began developing in your first assessment, analyze the chosen marketing tactics to reach potential customers.
      • Describe at least four marketing tactics in your presentation.
      • How will various techniques (e.g., website, social media, advertising, pay-per-click, events, press releases, sponsorships) be used for implementing your strategies? How will you build your sales funnel?
  • SOSTAC Plan: Actions:
    • Apply an action plan for executing each marketing tactic.
      • Be specific for how to execute at least four of your marketing tactics.
  • SOSTAC Plan: Controls:
    • Develop specific metrics to monitor marketing tactics.
      • The metrics should come directly from your objectives and tactics. How do you know things are going as planned? How often will you monitor the metrics? Be sure to include research about what measurements are most valuable and effective.

In 2–3 slides, conclude your presentation:

  • Summary:
    • Summarize the Marketing Plan presentation, including any known next steps or concerns.
  • References (1 slide):
    • Support the main presentation points with relevant and credible evidence.
      • Include a minimum of five sources with working URLs. At least three sources must come from the Capella library.
      • Cite all graphics, as necessary, or add a note on the references slide.
