Research Proposal

Overview

I need help creating the outline for a marketing plan proposal. I will write the actual paper and the full marketing plan myself. I only need help organizing the structure and deciding what information should go in each section.

Here are the assignment requirements:

The proposal is about 2 pages and must be written in APA essay format, not as bullet points. It will serve as the foundation for a 10-page marketing plan due later.

The proposal must include these three sections with bold headings:

Topic

  • Select a small business or lesser-known brand. Do not use large companies like Nike, Apple, Tesla, or Samsung.
  • Provide a brief background on the company, including its industry, size, market position, and relevant history.

Rationale

  • Explain why the company needs a new marketing plan.
  • Identify a specific reason, such as entering a new market, launching a new product or service, declining sales, increased competition, outdated branding, or changing consumer preferences.
  • Clearly justify why a new marketing strategy is needed.

Strategy

  • Define the target market using:
    • Demographics (age, gender, income, education, occupation, etc.)
    • Psychographics (lifestyle, values, interests, buying behavior, etc.)
    • Geographic factors (location, region, urban/rural, etc.)
  • Recommend at least four specific sources that I can use later to research the final marketing plan. These should be actual references, not just websites or organization names.
  • Include an AI disclosure statement.
  • The proposal itself must include APA citations and a reference page for any sources used in writing it.

The final marketing plan will be about 10 pages, so I want to choose a company that has enough publicly available information to support research.

Please help me:

  1. Recommend 3 to 5 small or lesser-known companies that would be good choices.
  2. Briefly explain why each company would benefit from a new marketing plan.
  3. Create a detailed outline showing what should be covered under each section of the proposal. Do not write the proposal itself. I only need the outline and ideas to organize my paper.
