Overview

1. For the function 2a that you created in Discussion 1, identify the coordinates of four points such that the slope of the tangent line at that point is:
   • zero
   • undefined
   • positive
   • negative
2. Evaluate the derivative at the points you identified in step 1.
3. Write a paragraph (5-10 sentences) summarizing the relationship between the continuity of a function, the limit of a function, the slope of a tangent line, and the derivative evaluated at a point.
