Overview
Hello fellow classmates,
On Friday, June 21st, I had the chance to engage with Muhammad S. via the NetTutor resource center at approximately 12:45 p.m. His guidance provided very helpful insight as he helped me grasp and understand the concept of quadratic functions more thoroughly. Prior to our session, I encountered some slight challenges while completing Homework 1.1 on Thursday, particularly in understanding concepts related to quadratic functions and the determination of intercept points for plotting and graphing. Muhammad adequately assisted me in resolving specific homework problems, ensuring I arrived at correct solutions. He also presented additional practice questions to reinforce my understanding. Towards the conclusion of our session, Muhammad prompted me to summarize the lesson and articulate the sequential steps involved in solving quadratic functions and graphing them. Notably, this involved identifying the y-intercept (represented by the "+b" value) and determining the x-intercepts by setting y=0 and solving accordingly, accounting for the possibility of two intercepts due to the nature of quadratic equations. I particularly appreciated his clarification on handling square roots, emphasizing the dual nature of solutions being positive and negative. In conclusion, my initial experience with the Live Online Tutoring Session via NetTutor was exceptionally positive. I highly recommend this resource to all, based on the supportive environment and effective learning strategies provided by Muhammad.
