Overview
Only accept the question if you have a background in mathematics for elementary teachers and education specifically for children. This coursework is not about intense problem solving and equations its about education and working with kids so their is specific terminology and ways to solve. Therefore I expect a good solution from someone who took this course or has an expertise in it.
Do both the written assignment and the video one. For the video make a script I will follow and the things I will need like the visual reps and whatever the assignment requests. Make sure to use the terminology that my professor might look for based on this class but don't make it too advanced. I'm a freshman in college.
Attached is the instructions for the assignment, my attempt and the feedback. Please use the feedback and make the assignment great.
Feedback: Revise and resubmit #2. Nice work overall! You are missing several visuals, but other than that the problems are generally well explained and valid. Problem #2 was not completed according to the directions, and can be revised and resubmitted. Do not convert the values into our number system: you need to regroup and explain while remaining within the Egyptian system.
Problem 1: 8/10
1a) Correct. Nice description.
1b) Your value is correct, but you don't connect it to the diagram.
1c) Your method is a valid (counting every square one-by-one), but doesn't make use of the patterning nature of the figure. It also doesn't clearly connect to the diagram.
1d) This formula is consistent with Jame's thinking. and correct.
Problem 2: 0/10
Revise and resubmit. For this problem, you were asked to solve the problem (complete the regrouping) without converting the values into our number system.
Problem 3: 7/10
3a) Good explanation, but you did not include a diagram.
3b) Correct. Nice explanation.
3c) Correct. It is also a comparison problem.
3d) Include this visual.
3e) Include this visual.
