Mathematics Question

Overview

The purpose of this assignment is to help you visually organize and clarify the key elements, assumptions, and relationships that will inform your financial model in Part 3. By mapping out the variables that influence your investment evaluation, you will lay the groundwork for more precise modeling, analysis, and decision-making.

Create a Concept Map showing the various elements of the GreenTech Manufacturing, New Plant Planning Model Excel model you will create next week.

Instructions:

1. Review the Course Project Scope

  • Revisit the FIN 5823 Course Project Overview document and your Week 4 Action Plan. Take note of all major financial components, such as capital investment, revenue growth, cost drivers, financing structure, and risk factors.

2. Design Your Concept Map

  • Create a Concept Map (also known as an influence diagram or visual decision model) that illustrates:
    • Major input variables (e.g., construction cost, equipment cost, depreciation, sales volume, labor expenses).
    • Key outputs (e.g., NPV, IRR, payback period).
    • Interdependencies and relationships between variables.
    • Risks or uncertainties that will require further analysis in future weeks (e.g., sensitivity to labor cost increases, financing method effects).
  • You may use graphic software (PowerPoint, Lucidchart, Canva, or similar tools).
  • Ensure labels and structure are clear and professional.

Special notes Notes:

  1. Please refer to the Concept Map Rubric in the Start Here tab.
  2. Submit your concept map as a PDF or Word document.
