Overview
Take the Heart Sutra and What the Buddha Taught (Chapter 1-5 the four noble truths) and place them in dialogue with one or two selected scenes from Monkey by Wu Cheng en. By dialogue, I mean to show how the two types texts, philosophical and fictional, relate to each other. Bear in mind that sometimes philosophical texts illuminate fictional ones and sometimes it is the other way around.
