Utilitarianism is based on the "greatest happiness principle", but the Trolley problem is a moral dilemma that calls into question that principle. After watching the video, discuss your and your fellow classmates' answer to the following question:
What weaknesses or concerns do you see with the theory of Utilitarianism as a result of the Trolley problem? Can Utilitarianism provide a good solution to the Trolley problem? Does Kantian ethics offer a better solution to what the Trolley problem? If so, explain what the solution is and how Kantian ethics supports that option.
