Overview
1) explain Socrates' notion of the democratic state in general with an emphasis on what it is, as opposed to what it comes from (oligarchy) or leads to (tyranny), from the assigned reading;
2) as a precursor to your own argument, explain one smaller aspect of Socrates' notion of democracy that interests you, which may include something having to do with what it comes from, or what it leads to–or the democratic character, from the assigned reading;
3) explain Socrates' argument, relevant to that one smaller aspect of Socrates' notion of democracy, from 2) above;
4) argue for or against the argument you present in 3), above; and
5) defend your argument in 4) against a naysayer.
