This is a very difficult reading. Engage with each other in order to find where these questions are answered and how to best understand them.
With his Problem of Induction (the problem in proving causation) Hume is actually holding science up to a higher standard of proof. We live in a time where many people are rejecting science, yet have very low epistemic standards for their own views. How would you argue, for one side or the other, that science meets these standards, and non-scientific methods do not.
