Overview
Think about and explain, in your own words, how YOU retain your identity over time, even as you undergo changes and development. Provide an example from your lifetime of a way you changed yet remained the same old you.
In PI Sections 405-406, and 253, as in nearly every Section of the PI, Wittgenstein has two characters speaking; he uses dashes (--) to indicate when the speaker changes. These speakers take up different points of view on an issue. In these Sections, they are discussing the issue of "pain behavior" such as groans and other indications that someone is feeling pain. What is the difference, if any, between the way you indicate your own pain to others, on the one hand, and the way you indicate the pain of others, on the other hand?
