Each student will write a paper on a western political theorist of the student's choice that is not covered in class, that means not listed on the course outline. The index of the book is a good place to look to find theorists for this paper, however some theorists are not good candidates for this paper, this will be discussed in class or through the abstract assignment. The paper will evaluate the selected theorist’s influence on the present (last 50 years) through a discussion of the theory, biographical information about the theorist will be limited to less than a page. The paper will focus on the theory not the person.
