Instructions

• After watching one or both of the videos, reviewing the modules and reading the required assignments: the link will take you to the syllabus and the required page numbers
• Choose one of the options and designate it on your post.
• Choose a quote from one of the videos and another from the the required reading. Use bold type on the two quotes you choose. Include the name of the video (name of video) and the name of the text including page number, e.g., (Moore, 365).

  Goal

  • The goal of this discussion is to begin to understand some basic characteristics that are typically associated with a religion. In addition, we begin to explore some of the classical themes that are primary in the philosophy of religion: the existence of God, theism, agnosticism, and atheism, faith and reason, the problem of evil. We will continue to develop these themes throughout the semester. This is just a beginning.
