Overview
1. This week we learned about different types of moral theories. Below I have written a sample conclusion that I think consequentialists, deontologists and virtue ethicists would all agree with---but for reasons unique to each view. I want you to explain, how would a consequentialist, Kantian and Virtue ethicist build an argument to prove the conclusion below. What kinds of points would each appeal to? How are they different?
Conclusion: It is good to avoid killing innocent human beings.

2. Below are the three criteria for evaluating moral theories. Pick any one that you find appealing (utilitarianism, Kantian ethics, virtue ethics, natural law theory, contract theory, feminist ethics, ethics of care, etc.) and demonstrate how well (or not) your chosen theory does according to each of the criteria below. Please include a specific example to help make your point.
Criterion I: consistency with our considered moral judgments Criterion II: consistency with the facts of the moral life
Criterion III: resourcefulness in moral problem-solving
