Summary:
Write a 1000-1500-word paper responding to Module 8's assigned content. Are we just a body or do we have a soul? In either case, is there good reason to believe in life after death? If so, are those reason's good enough to compel you to believe in it? Why are these questions important and what practical ways do our answers impact our lives? Have you seen these questions addressed in today's media? If so, where and how well did they address the issue? Do the answers to these questions mainly reside in neuroscience, theology, metaphysics, or some combination? But in the final draft of your paper, I will be most interested to see that you have “dared to know for yourself,” that you have taken the time to read and wrestle with the question to gain personally relevant insight. This is a research project, so you will be expected to engage several different sources with good paraphrasing practices and proper citations in Chicago, Turabian, or APA style. I mainly expect you to engage the assigned course content. You may reference a few outside sources but you must make it clear that you engaged the assigned material (particularly this week's material).
