Philosophy Question

Overview

Describe the function argument and Aristotle's conception of human happiness.

Each essay will be graded out of 5 points (each "point" accounting for 5% of your final grade), on the following scale:

  • 0 points: You didn't do it.
  • 1 point: You did it.
  • 2 points: You did it, and there seem to be some complete sentences in it.
  • 3 points: You did it, there seem to be some complete sentences in it, and it has something to do with the material.
  • 4 points: You did it, there are a lot of complete sentences in it, even some paragraphs, it has something to do with the material, and it makes sense.
  • 5 points: You did it, it's obviously an actual essay, with paragraphs and a clear structure, it is relevant to the material, and it makes an interesting point.
I would guess that many of you are nervous about writing in longhand, on the spot, about something as recondite and obscure as ancient philosophy. I assure you I will keep my expectations reasonable and interpret my own guidelines charitably.
