Background
The ability to match the right kind of teaching tool to a teaching goal is critical. In this assignment, you’ll practice writing a teaching plan and then reflect on how it went.
Instructions
Juna is a 7-year-old girl in a special education classroom. She needs to learn the names of things without direct instruction. Write a lesson plan for Juna and her teacher. Include the materials needed, the setting, and the step-by-step instructions for how the teacher can help Juna to learn this critical skill. Do some research first to find examples in the literature of successful teaching of this skill. You can look for research on Naming, Bi-directional Incidental Naming (BiN), and stimulus equivalence.
