Overview
Spend one hour in a natural environment quietly observing nature. Turn off cell phones, no ear buds, no distractions. You can go to a park or a back yard, anywhere that is not crowded with people. Try to focus on animal and plant life, insects, changes in weather or climate.
The purpose of this exercise is to help you to appreciate the teleological argument. It's the argument says that we can notice evidence of intelligent design in nature, which will lead us to God.
If you cannot get into a natural area then the next best thing is to watch an hour of nature TV. The best shows are the ones with the hidden cameras that observe animal communities, insects, birds, fish, etc.
Please be prepared to share you observations with our class by December 7.
