Philosophy Question

Final Presentation Proposal

For this assignment, write a proposal for your final narrated presentation (due Week Eight). This will be an argumentative presentation, in which you pick a topic within the philosophy of law, form an argument, and create a presentation that effectively outlines your topic and presents your argument.

Topic:

Should the Death Penalty Be Considered Morally and Legally Justifiable? Argument: The death penalty should be abolished because the state should not have the moral authority to take a person’s life, particularly when wrongful convictions are possible. Why it works: You can discuss justice, punishment, retribution, deterrence, human rights, and wrongful convictions.

Submission Instructions:

The proposal must be one to three paragraphs long (roughly half a page to a page of double-spaced text), and must include an annotated bibliography of three or more academic sources. All sources should be properly quoted and cited in MLA, APA, or Chicago style format, with a reference or bibliography list on the last page/slide of the assignment (not included in the suggested page/slide count). Below each source please include a few sentences explaining the contents of the source and how you plan to use it in your presentation. Do not copy and paste from the source.

Be sure to review the following prior to submitting your assignment:
