Overview

Developing a Hypothesis:

In this lab you will explore how frequency and amplitude affect the speed of sound.

Create hypotheses of what you think the results of this experiment will be. 

• How does the frequency of sound affect the speed of sound? 
• How does the amplitude affect the speed of sound? 

Defend your hypotheses using your knowledge of sound.

Objectives: 

1. Develop two methods to measure the speed of sound in air. 
2. Evaluate the relationship between frequency and the speed of sound.
