phase one..

Overview

The goal of this project is to increase the understanding of Physics in your everyday life and the Physics that you are learning in the course.  You are given the freedom to construct a machine/device that will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary for the engineering, medical and scientific professions.

What is a RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINE?   Rube Goldberg machine - WikipediaLinks to an external site.

Your Rube Goldberg machine must complete the task of dropping a bar of soap into someone's hand.   Your machine must showcase the following forms of motion: Sound Waves, light waves, Electricity, Magnetism, Linear Motion, Rotational Motion, Projectile Motion, Circular Motion, Vibrational Motion, and Fluid Motion.

Step count:   10

PHASE ONE: After researching the history and examples of Rube Goldberg machines, submit a sketch and flow chart of the ideas for your project.  For each section, specify the motion or physics principle demonstrated, how do you expect to demonstrate the motion, and the items used.   Specify and label each section clearly.
