Overview
As we continue to do a deeper dive into “citizen science” you will need to read and analyze the articles. Identify the potential impact on student learning and how engaging the general population in collecting data will improve the understanding of important STEM concepts.
Task: Use one of these articles (or you may choose another) and write a carefully written and reflective critique of one of the articles and its use of citizen science to develop a more concerned citizenry. Be sure to carefully reflect on how citizen science activities can have an impact on how and what students learn about science and the impact on “making real life decisions based on scientific evidence.”
Criteria for Assessment: Your completed assignment should be between 3 and 4 pages (typed and double spaced). Include your name and a title in your header. Include references for your outside source at the end and use APA style formatting rules.
