(a) For each of these three physics pioneers, write a 20-30 word mini-biography, including one significant
discovery or breakthrough they made in rocket science on a time line graphic organizer.

(b) Choose one of these three people, and find a YouTube video at least nine minutes in length that
describes that person's life and work in greater detail. Watch the video, write down the URL and title of the video, and then write a 35-50 word paragraph about what you learned about this person and your reaction to what you learned.
4. You are decorating a cake using a pastry syringe to squirt icing onto the cake. The area of the top
(plunger portion) of the syringe is Z times larger than the bottom (injector portion) of the syringe. How
many times more force does the icing in the syringe come out the bottom with, compared to the amount of force used to push in the plunger? Explain your answer.
