PLEASE MAKE SURE TO DO THE LAB LIKE WHAT THE PROFESSOR ASK OF YOU IN CANVAS AND IN PIVOT INTERACTIVES.!

AND PLEASE DO THE LAB CORRECTLY!

LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED ANYTHING ELSE!

This week's lab explores the pressure-temperature relationship for two gases. By applying the Ideal Gas Law, PV = N kBT or PV = nRT, we shall estimate the "zero pressure temperature" in degrees Celsius, and also the densities of the gas samples under study.

The activity uses Pivot Interactives.

NOTE: You have until the due date shown on Canvas to complete the lab - it will be graded soon thereafter, so any grade that appears on Canvas before the due date is not the "final" grade for this activity. (By contrast, The "due date" shown on the Pivot Interactives site is the last possible date you can submit this lab, with a significant late penalty of 2 points per day.)

Nonideal cases Links to an external site. - Difluoroethane does not follow the ideal gas law due to strong intermolecular (van der Waals) forces. We shall see how this affects the estimation of Absolute Zero temperature in this laboratory activity.
