Overview
Make sure your answers meet the requirements Posted on Canvas in our 'Guide to Answering Concept Questions for Homework and Exams' in Module A: Guide to Success and Required Formats for Assignments. I recommend that you watch the prerecorded lectures that cover chapter 34 before attempting to answer the questions below. No answers from the internet searches will be accepted. Only material from our textbook and the recorded lectures will receive credit.
For each answer, you must follow these INSTRUCTIONS:
Please keep in mind that internet searching for the answers will not meet the above criteria. ChatGBT will absolutely not work because our course has specific context and terms. So be careful. All answers can quickly and easily be found from our lectures and textbook. When answering questions on your homework assignments your answers should identify, describe, define, and distinguish the item. You then must underline the terms and concepts you are using form our textbook and lectures in your answers. I always recommend including examples. By listing examples you make the terms and concepts easier to remember as opposed to a definition of just words. Imagine you were answering the question, “what is a car?” and you simply answered it as, “Something that takes you from one place to another.” Now there is nothing wrong with this answer. It is not incorrect. However it hardly allows someone to identify and recognize what a car is. Are planes cars? Are bikes cars? Do they only take one person at a time? Can you take a car to an island? Here is an example from Chapter 3, problem 18 (an assigned problem btw):
“If the net force on an object is somehow tripled, what happens to the acceleration?” The answer is that the acceleration triples. Now how can I demonstrate that I understand the concept and question? Definition: State the governing relationship. Underline the terms and concepts you are using form our textbook and lectures. The following is a complete answer:
“This situation is addressed by the relationship F=ma. This is one of Newton’s Laws. Here F represents the Net Force. M represents the mass of the object. The ‘a’ represents the acceleration of the object. So in this situation, with the Mass remaining the same, if the Net Force is tripled, the acceleration would have to triple also.”
I WILL DROP THE PDF OF THE ASSIGNMENT BELOW AS WELL AS THE BOOK:
Please make sure all answers come from the book!
