Lab Description
Students choose random resistor values to build specific circuits using the simulation. Ohm's Law is applied on paper to determine effective resistance, total current, voltage drops across resistors, and current through resistors. Voltmeters and ammeters in the sim are then used to take screenshots of measured values, which are then compared to the calculated values. Finally, the idea of power and how it is measured is introduced.
