Overview
Create Your Own Challenging Physics Problem
Write an original, challenging physics problem that requires critical thinking and problem-solving. It should be clear, solvable, and realistic. An example of such a problem follows:
A spacecraft is in a stable circular orbit around a planet with twice the mass of Earth and the same radius. The spacecraft fires its thrusters in the direction of motion, instantly doubling its speed. What is the maximum altitude (above the planet's surface) that the spacecraft will reach before falling back? Express your answer in terms of the planet's radius R.
- Please try to avoid creating a problem that's a copy of the above example, as we'd like to see your creativity in action.
- The problem should be original (not easily found online), advanced graduate or preferably master’s level in difficulty, and be more or less as long as the provided example or even longer!
- It shouldn’t prove or derive a formula or expression, but arrive at answer like the example provided
- It should be difficult for AI to solve
