Overview
Entropy is one of the most important and most fundamental concepts in thermodynamics. It is also one of the most frequently misunderstood concepts. In this assignment, you will research about entropy and write an informative essay describing what entropy is and how it relates to the 2nd law of Thermodynamics. Your description of entropy should be more than a simple definition; the purpose of the paper is for you to demonstrate your own understanding of this concept and how it is applied in the real world. The second part of the paper should describe what is meant by “heat death” of the Universe, and how this relates to entropy. Your discussion should include a statement of whether or not you believe that heat death is inevitable and a description of the reasons.
Your paper should include a title page and reference list, but neither of those counts as part of the page requirement. References should be in APA format, in-text references within the paper and then the full reference given in the list of references at the end. Please note that sources such as Wikipedia should not be used in this paper; only scholarly sources should be used.
All references must be accessible by the course instructor. If you use a textbook or article that is not accessible via an online link, please include a picture of yourself with the textbook.
There should be at least 5 references. Written communication is an important scientific skill; this paper is an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to think critically and present ideas in a clear and logical fashion. The paper should have a 1500 word count. The use of artificial intelligence to write the paper is prohibited.
