- Describe the motion of the guitar string. Is it a standing wave or a traveling wave?
- How could this wave be changed, in order to change the pitch of the note played (pitch is related to frequency)?
2. Watch the second video (you may need to click through to YouTube). A total lunar eclipse happens when the moon is completely in the Earth's shadow.
- When the moon is not in shadow, it glows white from reflected sunlight. Inside the shadow, what color is it, and why? (Think about what happens to the other colors we no longer see!)
