PLS Choosing the Right Bank

Overview

Comparative governments have decided upon different ways to acquire and guard their money. The institutions they rely upon arose in different historical circumstances, were created for somewhat different purposes, and perform different tasks. This  shall engage comparative monetary systems.

Relying upon open-source research, look up (1) the American Federal Reserve System, (2) the Bank of England, and (3) the European Central Bank, and answer the following questions in two to three strong paragraphs per question.

1. When was each bank founded, by whom, and for what reason(s)?

2. How are these banks structured, and what are their core competencies?

3. What political purpose is stated or implied in the form and power of each bank? Which do you think best serves the interests of those who rely upon it, and why?
