Overview
First part: As mentioned, the first part will be the same as previous weeks. 1/3 of your paper will be descriptive of the readings and 2/3 will be analysis and must be double spaced, 12 point font, times new roman, and 300-400 words.
Second part: Economic survey covering the country of Pakistan. You'll need to answer the below questions in paragraph form. Each answer should be at least 600 words. This paper will help produce an annual report of the economic trends in Pakistan that would be used to make policy, social service, and budgeting decisions. This is your chance to examine in-depth the conditions of Pakistan that experiences inequality (or doesn't experience much at all).
Two questions:
- Discuss the economic systems that are used in Pakistan (e.g. Keynesian capitalism, socialism, communism).
- Discuss the economic growth, or lack thereof, in Pakistan as of 2022. Be sure to discuss the reasons for economic conditions and outcomes by describing how land, labor, capital, and entrepreneurship are used. This could include an exploration of foreign aid, tax structures, geographic realities, gender inequalities, laws, etc.
