Overview
You were nominated as an advisor in a country that changed from a non-democratic regime to a democratic regime, and you were assigned two tasks:
First: Proposing the appropriate type of political system for the state: presidential, parliamentary, or semi-presidential?
Second: Proposing the type of electoral system: majority/plurality (winner takes all, second ballot or alternative vote), proportional representation system, or mixed system?
Write a paper explaining your point of view regarding these choices, why you think they are the most appropriate, and why the other choices were not appropriate.
