Overview
I already have most of the research, structure, data, and content completed. I mainly need my PowerPoint and notes turned into a properly formatted research paper with full paragraphs and transitions.I need a 20-page research paper written in APA 7th edition format within 24 hours. This is for a political science senior seminar.
Topic: Why Barack Obama won Indiana in the 2008 presidential election.
IMPORTANT (must follow exactly): The paper must present this argument — economic voting (GDP decline, low presidential approval, and time-for-change) is the most plausible and strongest explanation for Obama’s victory, while campaign appearances and field offices play a secondary role.
Do NOT change this argument. The paper must NOT present this as a definitive cause. It should reflect that the conclusion is based on evidence and correlation, not direct causation.
I will provide:
- Full PowerPoint with structure and content
- Research question and dependent variable
- Three competing explanations:
- Campaign appearances (Hill et al. 2010)
- Field offices / ground game (Masket 2009)
- Economic voting (Abramowitz 2008)
- Hypotheses (already written in if/then format)
- Data (GDP, Gallup approval, campaign appearances, field offices)
- Tables/figures and sources
- Instructor feedback that must be followed
Paper Requirements:
- Minimum 20 full pages max 25 full pages (not including title page and references)
- APA 7th edition format (title page, headings, in-text citations, references)
- Clear structure:
Introduction (must include an argument paragraph)
Dependent Variable
Competing Explanations
Data / Methods / Findings
Comparative Analysis (explicitly weigh explanations against each other)
Conclusion
Key Instructions:
- Do NOT change the argument or research question
- Clearly show why economic voting is the most plausible explanation using evidence
- Campaign appearances must be presented as having limited explanatory power
- Field offices must be presented as having moderate explanatory power
- Include direct comparison between explanations (which explains the outcome better and why)
- Avoid strong causal language (do NOT say “caused” or “primary driver”)
- Use careful wording such as “most plausible explanation,” “strongest explanation,” or “best supported by the evidence”
- Convert all bullet points into full academic paragraphs
- Integrate tables/figures into the analysis (do not just list them)
- Include supporting data (GDP trends, approval ratings, etc.)
- Include exit poll data (especially economy-related responses) to support the economic voting explanation
- Use proper in-text citations throughout
- Follow formal academic tone
- You may use additional academic or credible sources if needed, but all arguments and analysis must stay consistent with the sources and framework I provide
