Overview
Administer psychological assessments to a peer. Additionally, complete an intake interview , mental health status exam, and psychosocial assessment, and use the interview and assessment results/reports to write a psychological report. Your volunteer will complete specific assessments that you will need to score.
Remember that the assessments are not intended to be interpreted for diagnostic use. This exercise is for educational purposes only: for students to gain experience in administering, scoring, and interpreting assessments and for writing psychological reports. During the intake interview, gather basic information. The psychological report will require insight into mental health history, family history, and other information. You will need to exhibit some creativity in the report, because the individual you are interviewing may not exhibit symptoms that would indicate the need for psychological assessment. The volunteer needs to be minimum of 18 years old.
The psychological report must include all of the required components of a psychological testing report (See Chapter 4 of Neukrug’s text as well as Appendix D for a sample report). The report must use objective language. First person is not permitted.
In addition to writing and submitting the psychological report, students will also submit the following:
* Intake Report *YouTube Video - (I will send you the video link on this when the video renders) *Completed Mental Healt Status Exam *DASS *HAMD *Amen'sMedical Review of System *The results of two assessments of your choosing listed under Level 2 Cross-Cutting Measures for Adults: https://www.psychiatry.org/psychiatrists/practice/...
