For this assignment, you are tasked with interviewing someone who has personally experienced bias related to their race, age, gender, or another facet of their identity. Your interviewee can be anyone except an immediate family member. I CHOSE for you to make up a scenario that i interviewed my neighbor who is Chinese, i am Persian for reference. base off if that.
Please address the following points in your paper: 1. Interview Summary: Offer a concise summary of the interview, focusing on the key instances of bias your interviewee encountered, their response to these experiences, and the long-term effects on their life.
2. Analysis and Connection to Course Readings: Analyze your interviewee’s experiences through a scholarly lens. Integrate at least three academic articles into your discussion, including those from your assigned readings. Reflect on how their experiences align with, challenge, or extend the ideas presented in these texts.
3. Critical Reflection: Reflect on how this interview shaped your understanding of bias. What new perspectives did you gain? In what ways did this conversation deepen or challenge your previous views on race, age, gender, or other identity-related biases?
4. Personal Action Plan: Based on your interview and course readings, outline one or two actionable steps you can take to combat bias or promote inclusivity within your own community.
Instructions • The paper should be in essay format. The paper should not be in a question-and-answer format. However, you should use subtitles to make the paper organized. (Use your own judgment to decide what the subtitles are and where to put them.)
• You must cite at least 3 scholarly articles. (At least one of the citation must be from an assigned reading at any point in the semester.)
