Overview
Instructions:
You are required to participate in a discussion forum posted in Units 1, 2, and 4. Initial comments will be a general reaction to course material (such as reading material and/or posted lecture) or will be a response to a question or comment posted by the instructor. The initial post will include at least one peer-reviewed reference and one question to the class and will be a minimum of 150-200 words. The initial post is due by Thursday.
You are also required to post three additional responses to your peers. Each post will be a minimum of 150 words, and each post will include at least one leading question and one peer-reviewed reference. Responses are due by Sunday.
You will not be allowed to make up missed forums. You are encouraged to keep a record of your participation.

- Review the slides related to clinical abnormality and briefly explain what is required for behavior to be considered clinically abnormal.
- After reviewing the slides, share a scenario from a book, movie, social media, or a real-world scenario (with no identifying information) that illustrates how behavior could be eccentric or atypical and share specific ways it would need to meet the four criteria to be considered clinically abnormal.
- Discuss your concerns with determining clinical abnormality in clients’ symptoms to provide a diagnosis and one idea of how you can increase your skills.
