Overview
The video topic is as follows: Choose one of the groups discussed and describe how you would apply what you learned in the course when intervening with a member(s) of that group. Choose a specific problem that interests you and explains how you would intervene, using a culturally sensitive perspective. In the video, you must define the specific problem and the cultural values of the group that influence it. It must refer to what was discussed throughout the class and to the literature you have researched.
The format of the video is at the discretion of each group, but it must meet the minimum requirements for a video essay: that is, it must argue a point, have a central thesis, and include quotes and examples. You must also refer to the material discussed in class.
It is up to the group to decide whether the format will be videoconference-style (with each member visible when participating) or with off-camera narration, but each group member must participate equally. That is, all group members must be heard in the video. They can record themselves together in a video call or record each part individually and edit it. Likewise, each group has the discretion to make the video presentation-style, like a podcast, or a conversation. If they are going to include external images and/or videos, they must be properly cited.
