Overview

Directions:

Evaluating Performance – Addressing Issues in Supervision: Courageous Conversations

For this assignment, you be applying what you’ve learned in this course to supervision for those pursuing their BCBA credential. Please see the information below for the assignment requirements. Each bolded heading is a required heading that should be included within the assignment.

Each section is worth 10 points.

Supervision Reflection –

In this section you will read the scenario. Next, you will identify the concerns and what should be pinpointed for improvement. The next step is to state how the behavior will be measured (refer back to Module 5 if needed).

Scenario –

Joe is an RBT and receiving supervision from a BCBA named Jill. Jill is preparing for the next supervision meeting and is reviewing her notes. Here is a summary of what her notes say:

  • Joe is working hard, but not consistently. He is often late for work and supervision meetings. When he arrives at a supervision meeting, he has not completed all of the unrestricted tasks given to him. Lastly, he is not completing his supervision tracker or submitting the monthly signature pages on time to Jill to sign.

Pinpointing -

List the behaviors that Jill should pinpoint as behaviors for improvement.

Measuring

For each behavior you listed, discuss how each will be measured.

      PIC/NIC Analysis -

      • Choose one behavior from your list and complete a PIC/NIC analysis.
      • Include the PIC/NIC in this section.
      • Then, summarizes the findings.

      Personnel Reinforcement -

      • Create a reinforcement system for each behavior pinpointed for improvement.
      • Explain your rationale.

      Evaluating Performance -

Choose one behavior from the list of behaviors pinpointed for improvement. Which research design will you choose to utilize to evaluate performance?
