Education is an integral part of effective communication and the health promotion process. Effective health communication is a complex skill that requires you to build upon several skills gained during your program of study. You must consider the viewpoints of different audiences and then use that information to shape messages.
For this class, you are required to pick a relevant health and safety topic from the four options below in the first half of semester, and build upon it throughout the entire semester. Ultimately, you will develop an evidence based health and safety intervention during the semester.
Your project will be supported with:
- A 6-page double spaced paper, with in-text citations and references from 3 current, peer-reviewed articles, explaining the purpose, audience, and what would be the desired outcome if the advocacy plan was successful. The papers should follow the APA scholarly guidelines
- No more than 12 PowerPoint slides (with embedded speaker notes) using the paper as a focus.
