Background
Market researchers at EvilCorp have been hired by a popular pickle vendor to rebrand and revamp their pickle products. They hope to enter the global market by identifying who pickle fanatics are around the world.
Based on a review of the literature, EvilCorp identified that pickle fanaticism is an important aspect of one’s personality that could be better understood to develop and market pickle products. They define pickle fanaticism as a general zeal for pickled products. Literature review and pilot testing determined a few potential dimensions of pickle fanaticism: a strong desire to eat pickled products, the extreme liking of pickled products, and the general feeling of needing to evangelize to others about the benefits of pickled products. For purposes of increasing sales, the third potential dimension is of strong interest to the firm so that they can identify pickle influencers to work for the company.
