Overview
I was born in America and both of my parents are turkish. Given this I have been between two cultures for a long time. With this I have kept my turkish identity and my religion Islam. I need you to think like me and write a paper please.I have submitted a reading and two slides for the evidence of reading and 2 references.
This mid-semester writing assignment should be:
1) a short experiential/applied paper exploring YOUR OWN identity development (approximately 3-4 pages double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font).
2) In completing this writing assignment, your goal should be to help the reader understand your own process of cultural and/or racial identity development, using:
a) one of the cultural/racial identity development models presented in class lectures and/or in assigned readings, or
b) a different established cultural identity model you have researched and explored independently.
* Whichever model you choose to explore your identity by, please focus on explaining your cultural identity development as you see it via said model. Do not spend a large portion of the paper describing the model itself. Your description should be evident through the exploration of your identity development.
3) Please articulate whether the model fits your own development as is and describe why, or explain what parts of the model do not fit your own identity development, why, and how you would change the model to be more relevant to your own identity development.
4) Topics that can be explored include, but are not limited to:
a) issues of acculturation and how this process may be related to identity development;
b) encounters and how they influence shifts in statuses/stages of identity development;
c) process of cultural/racial identity development for people of color and how it compares to white identity development;
d) multiple identities, intersectionality, and their relative impact in cultural identity development

3. Evidence of learning: Responses are a reflection of the assignment topics outlined above
